I am a little bit of a purist. So the thought of substituting rich, fatty, delicious sweet cream with tangy Greek yogurt didn’t appeal to me. However, the other night in a late night shopping spree I stumbled across this individual portion of Greek frozen yogurt ice cream. The banana peanut butter flavor did not hurt the situation. Thought it would be a nice afternoon treat today and I was right. It’s still rich and creamy and delicious, but there is a tang that really helps to balance the sweetness of the other ingredients. There is just enough salty peanut butter as not to overpower the frozen yogurt in its entirety. 200 cal per serving, 8 g of fat, and 6 g protein. A good concession if ice cream is too much for the diet. I will definitely try some other flavors.
